Things to know
Before you apply I would like to highlight the following:
*The Sand can be a powerful therapeutic medium that access our unconscious. Therefore it is vital that the training focuses on developing skills to use safely, gently and ethically whilst empowering the client to share their story;
*SandStory Therapy® training will involve a high level of experiential learning, this may activate participants’ unconscious and trigger their own ongoing material. Although personal process and emotional expressions are welcome, participants are encouraged to hold themselves safely and appropriately within the containment of the training group , it is not a therapy group;
*There is an expectation that, as a therapist or counsellor, you are attending regular Clinical Supervision as set out by your Governing Body. Whilst using SandStory Therapy® in your client work, this should be able to be discussed within your normal supervision sessions. If you wish to discuss your SandStory Therapy® practice with The Trainer, she would be happy to support you;
*SandStory Therapy® training will qualify you with the title 'Registered SandStory Therapist' upon satisfactory completion of the 2-day training AND two short written assignments that evidence a thorough understanding of SandStory Therapy® and your ability to practice safely and ethically.
